You know when you get invited to a birthday, or christening, or other milestone event where you need to buy a gift for a child and you end up just going to Kmart and picking a cool yet insignificant toy from the millions on offer? And you know that that toy, no matter how cool, will probably get played with for all of five minutes before ending up in another pile of toys and forgotten?
Every time one of these occasions pops up I really, truly endeavour to source a meaningful gift, something that will be memorable and something that the child in question will hopefully treasure. But when you’re a young Mum of two spirited girls, these good intentions – along with any creativity and organisational skills – go straight out the window.
But thankfully, I have now found the most perfect gift… Enter Tot Books.
These gorgeous books are the brainchild of expectant first-time Mum Tracey Dillon; all you need to do is supply a cute photo of the child and a few minor details about their interests and the important people in their life, and you have a personalised cartoon storybook ‘all about me’. They look amazing, they’re an awesome learning tool and they’re also really cost-effective.
After ordering my first set for the girls, I surprised my sister’s kids with their very own books and was immediately upgraded to favourite aunty status! (Fingers crossed I will stay there HA)
I have now ordered special Easter books for the girls to enjoy – the perfect gift for much younger kids and especially if you don’t want to give chocolate.
Head to www.totbooks.com.au to order yours today remembering that the cut-off for Easter orders is tomorrow – Friday 31 March.
